The MB-86 EI system offers a versatile solution for thermally insulated, fire rated windows, doors, and partitions. Designed for use in external fire compartments, it accommodates operable windows, doors, and fixed partitions with fire ratings of EI30, EW30, and EI15, in compliance with the PN-EN 13501-2 standard. Built on the foundation of the MB-86N system, it combines exceptional fire resistance with superior thermal and acoustic insulation, along with outstanding water and air-tightness.
This innovative construction merges the benefits of traditional window and door systems with the fire safety features of compartmentalization. Its design not only adheres to current fire safety regulations and energy efficiency standards but also contributes to environmental protection while maintaining a high level of durability. The system is classified as ‘no fire spread’ (NRO), ensuring enhanced safety in the event of a fire.
Key Advantages
The system features a triple-glazed profile with the central section functioning as an insulation zone, set between thermal breaks measuring 43 or 42 mm. To provide fire insulation, specialized materials and custom-designed accessories are incorporated into the aluminum profiles, with additional components functioning in the space between the profiles and the glass.
One unique aspect is that EI2-rated doors do not require fire insulation materials within the aluminum profiles. This design simplifies the prefabrication process, reducing construction time and costs. However, inserts are necessary for frame and transom profiles to maintain fire resistance.
The MB-86 EI accommodates a wide range of glass thicknesses, allowing for the use of various glazing options, including double-glazing units. The standard hardware for MB-86 EI windows comes with an RC2 burglary resistance rating, offering both safety and security.
